Ashley, we will get you a piano very soon

Dearest Ashley,

Last night, Mum & Dad were immersed in your music as you played "Fur Elise" and "Indian War Dance" on the keyboard. We were pleasantly surprised that you could remember the piece you just learned on Thursday. See how easy it is for you when comes to Music? Did it cross your mind that learning is so fun, relaxing and comes so naturally when you are truly interested in it?

Your deep interest in piano is obvious to us and as promised, we will get you a piano so that you could even compose your own music.

Do you remember you wrote your composition in your 1st month of learning piano? Will be nice if you continue your composition. Do you know that Jiu Jian Laoshi started composition when he was 19 years old? You've also heard Kieran Kor Kor's composition. The feeling of playing your own composition brings you to the next level, isn't it?

Nothing beats learning from your idol, Kieran Kor Kor right? So kind of him to offer to teach you while waiting to go Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA in May. You could follow his footstep provided you work hard in music and study and earn yourself a scholarship.

Remember I shared with you and your friends in Our Fun Place the education steps I took from Primary school to University? You're taking the 1st step now. Two more years you will be taking the PSLE and that will dtermine your next step. If your PSLE results are straight A*, you will have alot of choices of very good schools like RI and Hwa Chong. There, you will continue your Music learning as most top schools provide a very conducive environment to pursue your Music passion which will set the path for you to take the next higher step to Music specialization in College.

I cannot stress the importance of PSLE as this is a very critical path which may even decide your destiny. Two more months will be your CA1. With daily focus and hardwork, CA1 will be a breeze to you. Come PSLE, you will just do your usual thing and Ace the exam.

Ashley, you can do it. You can control your Destiny!

Cheers!
Proud Mum & Dad
